One of my favorite places on Mass Ave.  While a relative newcomer, the Chatham Tap has really begin to hit it's stride by providing excellent food and stellar service.  

No matter if it is Andrew, Danny, Mary Kate, Megan or many of the other extraordinary servers, you will feel very appreciated here.

As someone who has been spoiled by great fresh seafood while living in Seattle, WA, I tend to be a bit skeptical about seafood in the midwest in general.

Oceanaire is a rare deviation of that common wisdom.  With fresh choices flown in daily, there is always something to chose from that you can feel confident will be good.

Be ready to pay for the privilege of having the fresh choice of seafood, but I believe it is worth the price when you are in the mood.

One of the best restaurants in Indianapolis, no doubt.  Make reservations or be prepared to wait.  I miss being able to smoke in the bar.

There wasn't much that was "great" about Subterra.  It is mostly a club for those who couldn't get into some of the other clubs.  Lots of drunk girls rubbing booties on everyone, but it wasn't really all that happening.

Drinks are expensive and in typical club fashion, not overly strong.  Lots of other places to go with much more happening in this scene.  Maybe it will be different in the spring, but as far as now...there isn't much reason to go to Subterra.

The Elbow Room is a longtime staple of the north quadrant of downtown.

With the recent expansion upstairs and renovation of downstairs, this establishment is now one of the nicer places to get a reasonably priced meal.

On Wednesday nights, they have a generous fillet steak special for $10 that includes baked potato or fries and a dinner salad.  One of the best value steaks I have found in the area.  

Beer/drink specials are the usual for downtown, not really all that special.  Atmosphere is always good and the service staff is experienced and friendly to regulars and neophytes alike.

Rather you are with a large group in the dining room, grabbing a quick after work drink in the downstairs bar or playing trivia on Thursday nights upstairs.. you will be assured of a good time and be well cared for.

The Tip Top offers live entertainment and some of the best local color in the downtown area.  Tracy delivers the best service and you can relax here with locals and newbies a like.

Food fare ranges from your standard pub pizza to eclectic specials such as "Two Beer Steamed Brats".  The menu constantly changes, as does the live bands and downloadable jukebox.

While their is a strong Boston Patriots following, don't hold it against the many Colts fans that frequent the establishment.

Crowds range from the locals to business people stopping by on their way home from work.  Anyone is welcome.

With a nearly perfect location for the many who live just south of Mass Ave, The Mass Ave Pub is still searching to find itself.

Sometimes there is a DJ, but there is always food and drink specials and the service is extraordinarily friendly.  Time will mature this location and I'm sure it will raise at least a star over time as it settles back into the neighborhood.

Excellent quick and tasty lunch choice.  Great for a quick nightcap before retiring for the evening.

A Mass Ave staple!  The Front Page offers all the best of any local dive bar.  Outside seating and an exceptionally friendly wait staff will allow you to waste hours in reasonable comfort.  

Sports are always on the multiple flat screens, and downloadable tunes are available.  Nightly drink specials are available and Earl makes one of the best burgers in town.

Best sushi in Indianapolis.  Always fresh and prepared to perfection.  Hot sake and some Texas Rolls can't be beat.
